Hello all! I wanted to start my poem a week newsletter on a Sunday. It’s a nice day for reading, relaxing, and a nice day for love, care and connection.
I have a few love poems out today, but I will share one with you here: Late Night Love Poem.
You can visit the link, or check it out at the end of this newsletter.
Thank you again for all of your poetic support!

Late Night Love Poem
A love poem
After waiting for her all day,
she rushes out, unbothered, at almost 1am.
In the hush of night interrupted briefly
by the muffled Mexican music from the
downstairs neighbor.
In the dark of night, lit up
by the orange glow of
our salt lamp on your side of the bed
where I sleep or lay
or wait or write
late night love poems
when you are not here when
you are away and you say
you miss holding me
in your sleep and I say I miss that too and we
kiss goodnight over a screen,
across the miles. I roll over
expecting sleep, I toss and turn waking
up with a poem instead
scrawled out scribbled out misspelled out
onto the page because you know
it’s course is not smooth,
it’s nature is not boasting,
it is not easy, love
is sometimes a parent, nurturing and strong, love is
sometimes a toddler, learning and falling down
and I say remember let our love walk with you
in all that you do,
love is both the pathway and the steady light
guiding us hand in hand, heart to heart,
home to each other.
